We are presently looking for several families to join this good work. It is an excellent way to teach children good stewardship of time and talent. With 4 workers, it takes 1½ to 2 hours to clean the church. Please call Msgr. Nemec if your family is interested in cleaning God’s house. Beginning Tuesday, July 15, following 7:00 devotions, and for five successive Tuesdays (July 15 – August 19) in the Marian Room, six different clergy and lay experts will offer testimony and seminal instruction on six different facets (historical, theological, political, apologetic, personal/practical, and co-creative) of this short but powerful document. There is no charge, but participants will be asked to convert what they learn into something spiritually useful, that can “affect their (our) work, prayer, or sacrifice.” So download a copy of Humanae Vitae, dust off your “thinking cap,” and plan on attending all sessions to work toward your social justice lay degree with distinction.
